I’ll be teaching a five-day morning workshop on landscape painting (with an option to take only the 13th and 14th, for those with weekday obligations). Each day will start with demonstrations, lecturing. Should be a good opportunity for more experienced painters to return to a painting multiple days, working on maintaining a comprehensive light effect, or a beginner to get started in plein-air painting. Class will be from 8:30-12:30, cost $250 or $100 weekend only.
• August 28-1 - The Portrait in Oil or Charcoal
Students will work in the sight-size technique to achieve a convincing likeness, sense of form, tone and subtlety. 5 days will be a good opportunity to go over the fundamentals of traditional portraiture, with lecturing and demonstrations on structure, anatomy and technique. Depending on students skill level, working in Oils or Charcoal. Class from 9-1 at the Waltham Studio, cost $250 or $100 weekend only.
