I have been looking for a similar one for years, and finally saw one made by Dick Blick which is no longer made. I would like to build a similar easel, but don’t have a clue where you’d get the crank mechanism.

There was a disturbing video on YouTube, well troubling for any up-and-coming artist that is. You see, it depicted a sketching robot, a pretty darn good one actually, its name is; Tosy, and you can watch the online video on YouTube titled; “SketRobo – Tosy Drawing Robot!” and you’ll see why this is going to be a problem for sketch artists and eventually painters, which is a totally scary thought indeed.
