Here’s a last sketch from Italy, accidentally omitted from the last post. This is from the private gardens across the street from my old studio, Il Giardino della Gherardesca. As you can see in the link, the Gherardesca gardens have a rich history, and are impeccably maintained by The Four Seasons Florence.
What a whirlwind trip to Florence. To see the city we lived in, to absorb the sounds and light, visit some of my favorite restaurants and spend time with some of my favorite people. It was great to be back in town, to just concentrate on painting outdoors.
